Saphaa Dolalghat is an environmental education campaign that was conducted in 2014 with the population of Dolalghat, Nepal, in collaboration with the Kali Ma Foundation Nepal e.V. and the local authorities. The campaign raised awareness and imparted knowledge about waste management and environmental protection with workshops, clean-up days, a film event, and a demonstration. We educated young and old about the problems of littering, waste disposal and the advantages of recycling and clean environment (especially water). In addition, we initiated a local waste collection and disposal and created jobs for 4 people (waste collectors).
